Project Dragon Spirits

This project is an attempt to create a soundtrack for an imaginary sequel to Namco's "Dragon Spirit" & "Dragon Saber" series.
It is conceived upon a concapt that a descendant of the series hero is trusted with 3 "Spirit Stones", one from each of the human, elf, and fairy tribes, to confront an evil wizard with a spirit stone of his own.
Each Spirit Stone hosts a spirit of a dragon, into which the owner acquires the ability to transform.
The hero's Spirit Stones host the Blue Dragon, the Red Dragon, and the Green Dragon, where each has unique characteristics that the player may strategically choose between stages. The evil wizard, the final boss, awaits the hero's challenge with his powerful Black Dragon Spirit Stone.

Notes

So here I go again! As far as the production goes, it might be similar to what I normally do to get paid, but being my own boss (and sponsor) it makes such a difference not being told how to approach certain themes or what to change all the time.
What a relief!
It has been a while since the most recent piece of this series was produced officially (15 years actually), but I trust that there still are international game music fans dedicated enough to recognize the traits of this masterpiece musical series in the history of video games.
The second official title, "Dragon Saber" used the melody from the ending theme of the previous "Dragon Spirit" in the opening scene, so I followed the tradition and took after the ending music of "Dragon Saber" as a motive in the opening music of this project.
If you noticed that by yourself, I'd say you are crazy, of course in a praising sense.
The Area 7 tune was intended to be the hero's (actually portrayed as female) theme music. For your interest, an arrangement of it is also featured in my later album "metamorphosis" under the title of "Wings of Courage".

And finally, I would like to express my thanks and sincere admiration to the music creators of Namco who were involved in the original series.
